L’oreal Lucent Magique Foundation in G7 - my new favorite foundation! In-depth review when I get my hands on a PC (it’s so difficult to blog properly on a phone). I know I’ve been dormant for quite a while but I really feel like I have to share it to the world! Hahaha, might just be HG material for me :)

I’m actually already good to go with a my brows done + a bit of powder + mascara; but here are the things I use when I’m not feeling lazy. Not exact products, though.

1) Primer/ Moisturizer 2) Foundation 3) Pressed/Setting Powder 4) Bronzer 5) Highlighter 6) Eyebrow Pencil 7) Lip Balm 8) Mascara

Rave/Rant: Benefit Tints

Benefit says:
Cha Cha Tint - This mango-tinted stain beautifully blushes lips & cheeks with a tropical sunset hue. Smooch-proof & smudge-proof, this sheer stain will have you looking deliciously sun-kissed for hours.

Posie Tint - This kiss of see-through poppy-pink tint brightens cheeks & lips. Liquid-gel formula blends to just-picked perfection on all complexions and lasts for hours.

Benetint - Our original rose-tinted stain is kiss-proof, see-through color for lips & cheeks that lasts for hours. Naturally sheer & sexy on all complexions…it’s innocent yet provocative. It’s the sexiest flush you can get from a bottle!

Uh-huh:
1. The tints last a long time
2. Sheer (perfect for beginners who are hesitant to try makeup lest they look like clowns)
3. Packaging, handy bottles
4. Feels light, not greasy
5. No weird smell
6. Can be used alone or to lengthen life of powdered blush

Nuh-uh:
1. Expensive (29 USD or 1600+ PHP for the regular sized bottles)
2. Some colors look better on certain skin tones
3. Benetint is runny! I wish it came with a liquigel formula, too.
4. Don’t show up as well on lips

JALA says:
I love using tints because they’re easier (powder blushes need brushes and a mirror and some skill) and more convenient (two uses in one! Saves space in my bag) - plus they look more natural because they blend with the skin better. My forever qualm with them, though, is that they usually don’t last very long on my oily skin. So, when I got to try benefit’s Cha Cha tint, and saw that it was long-lasting - I immediately wanted to get my hands on Benetint! Posietint actually just came with the Finding Mr. Bright kit (hence the smaller bottle).

I’ve already mentioned before how much I love Cha Cha tint because peach colors work so well on my morena Filipina skin. It’s really great as all-around color and bronzer base.

I wasn’t very excited about Posie Tint, because from the swatches I thought it would only look good on fairer complexions. After trying, though, I think it actually stains well only you have to apply more so the color can be noticeable. I tried it on my sister (she has fairer skin) and it looks really pretty - makes you think of sweetness, innocence and cotton candy.

I’ve been using cherry stains a lot (Ever Bilena, The Body Shop), so I had guessed Benetint would somehow look okay on me. I know that it’s Benefit’s original tint, so I had high expectations - sadly, it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. The formula’s different from the first two - it’s more watery than gel-like, so it’s trickier to apply. I found that if you blended it too fast, the color would be too sheer - almost like you didn’t apply anything; but if you waited to long, it would leave a weird blotchy mark behind. What I do though, is just let it stay for a few seconds before blending it out. It’s still a sexy, cherry flush - if you manage to do it right. It’s upside is that it stays a tad longer than the others - so it’s perfect to use as base.

All three of them don’t really work very well on my lips. But that’s probably because mine are crazy pigmented. Will have to try it on someone else and get back to that!

For me, Cha Cha tint wins but I’m happy to have all three in my arsenal.
